This stunning Stoke Newington property was brought back to life through carefully considered joinery, breathing new life and character into this three-storey home.

The reinstated, sizeable sash windows retain the original glazing, featuring a beautiful multicoloured stained-glass motif found throughout the homes on this bright and characterful street. Now double-glazed and perfectly insulated, the new Accoya® timber windows feature a two-tone finish, creating a distinct look from both the exterior and interior of the home. Each room is given its own character through a carefully considered palette, complementing the individual spaces and bringing the clients vision to life.

The three-panelled front door marries tradition with modernity, combining arched glass panels and ornate bolection mouldings with reeded glass and sleek aged-bronze ironmongery. The clear fanlight allows natural light to flood the hallway, while the elegant gold house number adds a refined decorative detail and provides a distinctive finishing touch to the entrance.

Classic on the outside, playful within.

In addition to reinstating the sash windows at the front of the property, we also delivered a bold transformation to the rear. Our client came to us with an unconventional vision, embracing colour, contrasting profiles and playful forms throughout the home.

Each room is colour-drenched in a vibrant shade, with the joinery split-coloured to match the walls and ceilings inside. From the exterior, however, the windows maintain a uniform and cohesive appearance, creating a considered balance between the traditional façade and the expressive interiors.

A combination of traditional methods and modern craftsmanship, these arches were achieved through careful measuring, precise machine and expert joining. We work alongside architects and builders to assure our joinery matches your brickwork perfectly, in a process that can take up to a few months, it’s important that drawings and plans are honoured so that everything fits your home.

Old, Made New.

With a full renovation underway, including new flooring and walls, we worked closely with the project team to ensure the joinery was fitted not only on time, but at the right stage of the build.

Whilst other Victorian features can be enhanced by the patina of age, the marks of use and the natural wear and tear that comes with time, newly reinstated windows are at their best when they look pristine. To protect the finish from other works taking place around the property, we aim to install the windows towards the final stages of your project. This allows us to coordinate closely with the builders, ensuring the joinery is installed at the right point — whether that means plastering up to the windows or completing the surrounding walls beforehand.

A Lasting Coat.

At Beechhall, every piece of joinery is finished with a specially formulated Sikkens topcoat. We apply two primer coats followed by two coats of our signature paint, carefully hand-sanding between each coat to achieve an exceptionally smooth, durable finish. Once painted, each item is given ample time to cure, ensuring it is fully dry and ready for installation.

We offer a wide range of high-quality finishes to suit any style, including colours from Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, and the full RAL range, as well as a selection of beautiful wood stains.

If theres a specific colour you like from another brand we just require a sample pot to match it.

Gold door numbers are applied to the clear fanlight. Times New Roman is our standard font, with custom typefaces and colours available to suit the client’s preference.

A colour-drenched entranceway, where perfectly matched joinery creates a grand and quietly austere presence, adding an unmistakable sense of kerb appeal.

Precise vertical lines meet contrasting curves, with the frame echoing the profile of the door panel mouldings to create a cohesive and harmonious entrance.
